Not so Lucky in Vegas

Now based on the title of this you would possibly think that I went to Vegas to gamble and lost a ton of money. Think again, I don't gamble. I went to Las Vegas with a bunch of my friends to go watch BYU play in the Mountain West Confernce basketball tournament. Here are some unlucky/rather unfortunate events that occured while in Las Vegas:

1. Got pulled over in St. George. We drove my car and at the time my friend was driving. Luckily we just got a warning because my headlight was out.
2. BYU lost. It was terrible. I was so upset.
3. We went and got Carl's Jr after the game. It was the most disgusting food that I have ever had. Luckily I did not throw up.
4. Not only was my headlight out, but also my tail light. I got both replaced.
5. Somewhere between Las Vegas and St. George I got a flat tire. We didn't notice till St. George. The tire was too damaged to repair, I had to buy a new tire.

I actually had a really great time. It was just one of those trips where if it could go wrong, it did. It was fun to get out of Utah and it was so nice to feel the sun on my face (I got a little sunburned, but I am excited to have color). I have a few pictures but my computer is being lame and won't load them.

So Worth The Wait

Saturday was the big day. The day that Cougar fans had been looking forward to for the entire season. I am speaking of the day of the BYU vs. Utah Basketball game. We have recently suffered some losses to the U. To say the least, we needed this win. Unlike other people I know (some people I know started camping on Wednesday)I arrived at the Marriott center at 10 am for a 3 pm game. Fortunately BYU was victorious! Jimmer is my hero. Also, Chris Miles played great defensively. It was a blast to watch our Cougs pull out a fabulous win. Definately worth the 5 hour wait.

A few of us waiting in line.

After a great play, this picture doesn't convey the crazyness that was the Marriott Center

The final score. 63-50
