A Letter to Spring

Dear Spring,

You have played a dirty rotten trick on me. Seeing as today is April Fools day (my least favorite day of the entire year), I feel the need to address the issue. Towards the end of February you snuck in on Winter and gave me Spring like weather. I was quite grateful for this gift. Through the beginning half of March I continued to show my gratitude for such weather. I spent more time outside, I wore flip flops, I went on walks to see the beautiful blooming flowers, I started to smell the fragrances of spring, and I even wore shorts one beautiful Saturday. I was pleased with you.

The past week and a half you have turned your back on me. Your once warm hand of friendship has turned icy cold. You have sent me snow storm after snow storm (and today is no exception), always in the morning which makes my commute to work difficult. You are an Indian giver, giving me beautiful weather and then taking it back.

While this behavior is very characteristic of you, I somehow hoped that this year might be a little different. I am even willing to compromise with you. You can snow up in the mountains all you want but please give me some sunshine and warm temperatures in the valley. Please be my friend again.

Sincerely,
Suzy Anderson

P.S. I would appreciate a quick response to the matters addressed above.
